Little Frog

Little Frog is my mama's boy.  He loves all things boy, such as trains, cars, balls and super heroes.  He also is very sweet.  He'll squeal with joy when he finds pretty, pink-princess things because he can share them with his sisters.  He love sharing.
Little Frog loves to talk, and you would never guess he had two-and-a-half years of speech therapy.  His favorite color is blue and favorite food is macaroni and cheese.
Little frog is constant movement.  He loves karate chopping and jumping.  He hates being sticky and will wash his hands several times during a pancake breakfast.  He loves music and his favorite song is "500 miles".  He was all smiles when he got to sing and play the drums at open-mic night.
His favorite toy is a fire engine named Rojo.  All of his stuffed animals are named Levi after a neighbor kid that he really looks up to.  Little frog hates little dogs, but loves big dogs.  He hates the "babies" at day care, but adores his teacher.  He gives the best hugs.  And is a great snuggler.

shades: Ross a couple years ago
everything else: Savers, of course.
We were just hanging at my BFF's house when I decided to do an impromptu photo shoot (thus the camera phone quality).  She has the most fabulous grapevines for the background.
I've never been much of a purse person.  I just needed a bag big enough for diapers and my wallet and I was happy.  But I'm done with diapers now, and a trip to Savers with the kids on Memorial day changed everything.  We found several of the most fabulous vintage clutches.  They reminded me of my grandmother and I had to have them all.  The girls also picked out a couple other purses that I wouldn't be caught dead with, but they are fabulous in their own way.  Since then I can't stop looking at purses and I have about 15 now.  This green one is my absolute favorite!

The tag says Christian Dior Paris.  I don't know anything about labels so I just buy the ones I like. And I really like this one.

Sugar

Dresses: thrifted Savers
Skechers: thrifted Savers
Night gown: hand-made gift
Dress: hand-me-down
Chair: thrifted DI

Sugar loves to pose for the camera.  For her preschool class pictures the photographer had to ask her several times to put her hands down.  She totally fits the description of a girl as "sugar and spice", and her spice is cayenne pepper.  She has an easy smile and a fiery temper.  Her favorite color is purple.  She loves school, loves her teachers and is an avid reader.  She is an artist.  Sugar is very determined and once she decides something there is no changing her mind.  She is very social and hates being alone. Sugar hates change.  She is a princess and would wear a dress every day if she could.  She puts her whole heart and body into everything she does.

Sunday Morning

top: Old Navy clearance
skirt: thrifted Savers
shoes: bought on clearance somewhere years ago
scarf: thrifted Savers
bag: vintage Savers
earrings: vintage Sock Monkey'n Around

Many thanks to my eight year old photographer.  She took the pictures with my iPhone.  My new Cannon PowerShot just arrived.  I got a great deal on Amazon.  It was just $69 last week.  And the case was free.  It looks pretty simple, so I think the future holds much better pictures for me.

Fishing

All outfits from Savers

It's kind of a tradition now.  It started a long time ago, when my fifteen year old nephew was about the same age as little frog.  When family is visiting from out of town, Grandpa takes the kids to the local fish farm.  It is so much fun and the kids don't really know that there is any other way to fish. And it is such a beautiful place that we did an impromptu photo shoot.

And this is my new train hat that I bought at a train shop the day before.

I love following fashion blogs.  They are so much fun, and a great tool for building confidence and creating one's own sense of style.  So I've decided to do one of my own, and true to form, my kids have hijacked it before I've even begun.  And they've done an adorable job of it.  All three are complete camera hogs.  These pictures were taken with my phone.  It is so obvious I need a camera.
Here is one of our very favorite blogs.  Color Blind.  I love her unique style and thriftiness.
So, please, enjoy zany, fabulous, thrifty fashions.
